Nach vielen Jahren wieder mal begangen. Hatte heute meinen Sohn mit 9 Jahren erstmals mit dabei. Alle Stände OK. Im Talboden in Fellbach, bei der Auffahrt ist eine Fahrverbotstafel Forststraße, ich denke die ist nicht offiziell aufgestellt, bin trotzdem raufgefahren. Hab auch Leute da oben getroffen, hat keiner was gemeint, nur freundlich gegrüßt.
Once again after many years. Had my 9 year old son with me for the first time today. All stands OK. At the bottom of the valley in Fellbach, at the ascent there is a no driving sign on the forest road, I don't think it's official, but I drove up anyway. I also met people up there, nobody meant anything, just greeted them friendly.

Wir haben eine neue tolle Schlucht in Kärnten. Wurde durch uns vier erstbegangen. Alle Abseilstellen wurden mit 10er Anker ausgerüstet. Mit dabei war auch Jonathan von der Wasserrettung. Demnächst wird die Schlucht noch genau vermessen und eine Topo angefertigt.
We have a great new canyon in Carinthia. It was first climbed by the four of us. All abseiling points were equipped with 10-point anchors. Jonathan from the water rescue service was also there. The canyon will soon be surveyed and a topographic view prepared.

Wasserstand ist normal und relativ warm. Mit 5mm Neo war mir permanent zu warm. Alle Anker OK, Nach Erkundung sind teilweise kleine Sprünge möglich. Leider zieht das Wasser das trübe Sediment mit der Begehung permanent mit.
Water level is normal and relatively warm. With 5mm neo it was permanently too warm for me. All anchors OK, some small jumps are possible after exploration. Unfortunately, the water permanently drags the cloudy sediment with it.

Nun alle Wasserfälle mit dem Laser vermessen, Topo gezeichnet. Nun haben wir auch eine kleine Wald/Canyonschucht bei uns in der Nähe.
Now all the waterfalls have been measured with the laser and a topographic view drawn. Now we also have a small forest/canyon gorge nearby.

Vielia II+III: Man merkt den höheren Wasserstand, aber es ist alles unproblematisch. Die Sprungbecken sind im super Zustand, der Fels ist recht griffig. Vielia IV: Hat schon einiges mehr Wasser als im Herbst. Für mich waren eigentlich nur 2 Stellen problematisch, welche aber durch Profis mittels Seilbahn und vollem Körpereinsatz entschärft wurden.
Vielia II+III: You notice the higher water level, but everything is unproblematic. The plunge pools are in superiore condition, the rock is quite grippy. Vielia IV: Has a lot more water than in the fall. For me, there were actually only 2 problematic spots, but these were defused by professionals using a ropeway and full physical effort.

Haben heute die Tour erstbegangen, derzeit sind 7 eingerichtete Abseilstellen, vermutlich kommen noch 2 dazu, haben als Zeitersparnis einen Baum genommen.
We started the tour today, there are currently 7 abseiling points, probably 2 more to come, we took a tree to save time.

War heute wieder mal in dieser tollen Schlucht. Alle Haken sind OK. Leider ist immer wieder sehr viel zum abklettern. Zustieg 1h, waren zu dritt in der Schlucht 3h15min, ohne Pausen und recht sportlich unterwegs.
Was in this great canyon again today. All anchors are OK. Unfortunately there is always a lot to downclimb. Access 1h, the three of us were in the canyon 3h15min, without breaks and quite sporty on the way.

Das Wasser ist super klar. Der Höhlensprung wäre sicher auch vom Felsen möglich, wir sind nur von der Kante gesprungen und kein Bodenkontakt. Wasser hat schon angenehme Sommertemperatur. Alles OK.
The water is superiore clear. The cave jump would certainly also be possible from the rock, we only jumped from the edge and didn't touch the bottom. The water is already at a pleasant summer temperature. Everything was OK.

Kontrolle nach der Winterpause. Alles OK. Nur der Bachlauf hat sich Aufgrund von Felsabbrüchen etwas verändert. Verklausungen über der Schlucht können bei Gewitter zum Problem werden. Flashflood Gefahr.

Etwas rutschig und für die Jahreszeit zu wenig Wasser. Sind diese Tour Aufgrund der Kürze noch nie begangen. Rauf 25min, Canyon 1h. Alle Stände OK. Ein alter Steinbock war von Beginn an unser Begleiter nach oben.
A little slippery and not enough water for the time of year. We have never done this tour due to its brevity. Up 25min, canyon 1h. All stands OK. An old ibex was our companion from the start.

Sind selten so eine rutschige Schlucht begangen. Es ist sehr zum aufpassen das man nicht ausrutscht. Wir waren zu zweit in der Schlucht und haben 2h gebraucht. Zustieg 30min. Alle Stände in Ordnung.
Have rarely walked such a slippery canyon. You have to be very careful not to slip. There were two of us in the canyon and it took us 2 hours. Access 30min. All stands in order.

Tolle kurze Frühjahrstour bei uns in der Nähe wenn man nicht viel Zeit hat. Alles in Ordnung. Leider war diesmal das Becken unter dem 25er zu mit Schotter.
Great short spring tour near us if you don't have much time. Everything was fine. Unfortunately this time the basin under the 25 was too full of gravel.

Heute wurden einige 10er Laschen neu montiert und alte Seilschlingen erneuert. Die Tour ist aber nur für Niedrig oder kein Wasser eingebaut. Unten in den trockenen Bereichen sind ein paar Rutschen und Rampen abzuklettern, ohne Wasser kein Problem wenn aber feucht und Wasserdruck dann ist es nicht sicher diese runter zu kommen. Abseilstellen sucht man ein paar mal vergebens. Hin und wieder sind Bäume am Rand und oder verklauste Bäume die einzige Alternative um runter zu kommen. Ich finde die Schlucht immer wieder toll, obwohl dazwischen einiges zum gehen ist.
Today, some new 10 mm lugs were fitted and old rope slings were replaced. The route is only suitable for low or no water. At the bottom in the dry areas there are a few slides and ramps to climb down, without water no problem but if wet and water pressure then it is not safe to come down them. There are a few abseiling points, but in vain. From time to time, trees on the edge or hidden trees are the only alternative to get down. I always find the canyon great, although there is a lot to walk in between.

Wasserstandkontrolle für den oberen Teil (ersten 4 Abseiler) sehr wichtig. Man könnte auch via den Vinadia die Tour machen, somit entfallen die 2 "heiklen" Passagen und man kommt unterhalb des 4. Abseilers dazu. Hier könnte man im Notfall auch aussteigen. 2. Abseiler ist zur Zeit springbar (was es einfacher macht). 3. Abseiler, sieht wild aus, man seilt aber auf einen Felsen ab, von wo man zum Ausguss hechten kann, um von da die letzten 3m abzuseilen. Wir starteten unsere Tour um 10Uhr und hatten einen tollen Sonnenstand.
Water level control for the upper part (first 4 rappels) is very important. You could also do the tour via the Vinadia, thus eliminating the 2 "tricky" passages and you get to it below the 4th rappel. You could also get off here in an emergency. 2nd rappel is currently jumpable (which makes it easier). 3rd rappel, it looks wild, but you rappel onto a rock, from where you can rush to the spout to abseil the last 3m. We started our tour at 10am and had great sunshine.

Alles ok, der höchste Abseiler hat genau 62m, daher genug Seil einplanen. Der Zustiegsweg ist mit Zecken verseucht, 16 Stück auf einer Person.
Everything is ok, the highest rappel is exactly 62m, so plan enough ropes. The access path is infested with ticks, 16 on one person.

Die Kaltfront brachte tags zuvor 50L regen. Wir sind beim Kraftwerk den ersten Verklausten abseiler runter und haben dann entschieden die Tour abzubrechen. Im laufe der Tour kommen noch unzählige kleine Gerinne / Bäche hinzu. Wir haben uns dann vom Parkplatz den Schlußwasserfall angesehen und dann war für uns die Entscheidung gerechtfertigt.
The cold front brought 50 liters of rain the day before. We went down the first rappel at the power station and then decided to abort the tour. Over the course of the tour, countless small channels / streams were added. We then looked at the final waterfall from the parking lot and then the decision was justified for us.

Sind östlich von der Schlucht lt Beschreibung den Weg hoch. Aber die letzten Jahre hat sich sehr viel verändert. Unten bei der Sava ist ein neuer Radweg. Der Weg den Berg hoch ist extrem verwachsen. Sind Weglos den Hang hoch, zwischen Gebüsch und Dornen, war nicht sehr lustig. Weiter über die Kuppe Mala Recevnica und einen alten verwachsenen Traktorweg Ri südwest in den Canyon eingestiegen. Vielleicht 300m unter der Quelle. Der obere Teil der Schlucht ist sehr rutschig und teilweise sehr verblockt mit Holz. Eine Kette ist sehr fragwürdig, die Kettenglieder sind durch die Bewegung vom Hochwasser sehr eingeschliffen. Aber trotzdem ein toller Bereich. Der Untere Teil, welcher auch kommerziell begangen wird ist super. Tiefe Becken, gut eingebaut, nur eine stelle mit viel Holz. Auch der Schlusswasserfall war spring bar.
Are east of the canyon according to the description up the path. But a lot has changed in recent years. There is a new cycle path down by the Sava. The path up the mountain is extremely overgrown. We went up the slope without a path, between bushes and thorns, which wasn't much fun. Then over the Mala Recevnica hilltop and an old overgrown tractor path southwest into the canyon. Maybe 300m below the spring. The upper part of the canyon is very slippery and partly very blocked with wood. A chain is very questionable, the chain links are very worn in by the movement of the flood. But still a great area. The lower part, which is also used commercially, is superiore. Deep pools, well built, only one place with a lot of wood. The final waterfall was also a great jump.

Wir gehen fast jährlich den Simon, aber es ist immer wieder schön. Etwas mehr Wasser als im Sommer üblich, aber unproblematisch. Alles OK. Das erste mal beim Zustieg keine Zecken abbekommen.
We go to Simon almost every year, but it's always beautiful. A little more water than usual in summer, but no problems. Everything OK. No ticks for the first time on access.

Das erste mal in dieser Schlucht und ich muss sagen sie hat mir als kurze Tour recht gut gefallen. Viele kleine Becken wären mit Sprüngen möglich gewesen, teilweise trügt der helle Schotter mit der Wassertiefe etwas. Wir sind auf Nummer Sicher runter und haben uns nur abgeseilt. Wie gesagt der 3. Stand würde eine neue Lasche vertragen.
First time in this canyon and I have to say I quite liked it as a short tour. Many small pools would have been possible with jumps, sometimes the light gravel with the water depth is a bit deceptive. We played it safe and just rappelled down. As I said, the 3rd belay could do with a new one.

Bin auch zum ersten mal den neuen Einstieg rein, tip top. Für fast mitte Mai war das Wasser schon recht frisch. Super Bedingungen. Tolle kurze Halbtagestour.
I also went in the new entry for the first time, tip top. The water was already quite fresh for almost mid-May. Superiore conditions. Great short half-day tour.

Nach dem Winter ist alles OK, alle Stände vorhanden. Ein neuer Stand wurde bei Wasserfall 4 eingerichtet, den beim Hauptstand ist für eine Trockenbegehung zu viel Wasser.
After the winter everything is OK, all stands are in place. A new stand was set up at waterfall 4, as there is too much water at the main stand for a dry ascent.

Normalerweise ist das eine Trockenschlucht und nur nach Regenfällen als Canyontour gedacht. Wir sind mit Outdoorausrüstung die Schlucht bei wenig Wasser gegangen. Nur Spritzwasser und kein See zum Schwimmen. Der Hauptwasserfall zum Schluss war trocken. Alle Anker im guten Zustand, 2 mal Baumabseiler, 1 Blockabseiler haben da keinen Ankerpunkt vorgefunden. Wir hatten die Bohrmaschine mit, wurde aber nicht gebraucht. Ich finde auch im fast trockenen Zustand ist diese Schlucht toll.
Normally this is a dry gorge and only intended as a canyon tour after rainfall. We walked the canyon with outdoor equipment when there was little water. Only splashing water and no lake to swim in. The main waterfall at the end was dry. All anchors in good condition, 2 tree abseils, 1 block abseil, didn't find an anchor point. We had the drill with us, but it wasn't needed. I think this canyon is great even when it's almost dry.
