Von Villach über die A2 Richtung Tarvisio, bei Arnoldstein abfahren und über die 111-er nach Feistritz an der Gail und im Ortskern rechts nach Vorderberg. Auch hier in den "Ortskern" und dann nach links in Richtung Kirche Maria Graben. Noch bevor man die Kirche erreicht rechts Richtung Kotschitzalm und Dolinzaalm abzweigen. Der schmalen Asphaltstraße bis zum Parkplatz nahe der Koschitzalm folgen. Die Straße zur Dolinzaalm ist aktuell für den öffentlichen Verkehr gesperrt.

From Villach via the A2 towards Tarvisio, exit at Arnoldstein and take the 111 to Feistritz an der Gail and turn right in the village center to Vorderberg. Here, too, enter the "village center" and then turn left towards the Maria Ditch church. Before you reach the church, turn right towards Kotschitzalm and Dolinzaalm. Follow the narrow asphalt road to the parking lot near the Koschitzalm. The road to the Dolinzaalm is currently closed to public traffic.

Der Straße etwa 300m taleinwärts folgen und auf der Sandstraße zur Brücke über den Vorderberger Wildbach absteigen. Ab hier kräftig ansteigend über die Straße bergauf bis man bei der ersten Kehre in die Schlucht blicken kann. Vorher weglos über steilen Wald in die Schlucht absteigen die sich bald verengt.

Follow the road into the valley for about 300m and descend on the sand road to the bridge over the Vorderberger Wildbach. From here, climb steeply uphill along the road until you can see into the canyon at the first hairpin bends. Before that, descend without a path over steep forest into the canyon, which soon narrows.

Nach kurzer Gehstrecke und einfachen Abkletterpassagen steht man vor den ersten Abseilstellen. Es geht recht kontinuierlich abwärts, links und rechts 30m hohe Felswände und schöne Abseiler. Aktuell sind alle Abseilstellen mit jeweils einem 10mm Bohrhaken abgesichert. Bitte erst Seil abziehen wenn ihr den nächsten Haken seht, zwei Abseilstellen gehen über mehr als ein Becken. Beim hohen Wasserfall mittels Quergangshaken 5m nach links zu Bohrhaken und dann von hier entweder 42m direkt oder 12m zu Hängebecken und dann 30m von Hängestand links hinter der Kante abseilen. Der letzte Wasserfall mündet direkt in den Vorderberger Wildbach Es gibt auch noch einen engen oberen Teil der auf Höhe 1320 unter den letzten Hochwasserschutzbauten beginnt. Dieser Abschnitt ist leider komplett zugeholzt und nur sehr mühsam begehbar (Klemmholzabseiler und 1 BH)

After a short walking passages and easy downclimbs, you are faced with the first abseils. The descent is quite continuous, with 30m high rock faces to the left and right and beautiful rappels. All abseiling points are currently secured with a 10mm bolt. Please only pull off the rope when you see the next anchor, two ropes go over more than one pool. At the high waterfall, use a traverse bolt to move 5m to the left to the bolt and then rappel either 42m directly or 12m to the hanging pool and then 30m from the hanging stand on the left behind the edge. The last waterfall flows directly into the Vorderberg torrent There is also a narrow upper section that begins at 1320m below the last flood protection structures. Unfortunately, this part is completely overgrown and is very difficult to walk on (clamping wood abseils and 1 BH).

Wir sind sehr mühsam und weglos durch den Steilwald ca. 140hm zur Straße aufgestiegen. Eventuell könnte man den Bach bis zur Vorderbergerklamm absteigen und diese dranhängen.

We made a very arduous and pathless ascent through the steep forest for about 140m to the road. You could possibly descend the stream to the Vorderbergerklamm gorge and add this on.
