Die Rutsche vor dem großen Abseiler ist nun wieder machbar, der Baumstamm im Gumpen konnten entfernt werden und ein eingerichtetes Fixseil hängt auch noch.

The slide in front of the big rappel is now doable again, the tree trunk in the pool could be removed and a fixed rope is still hanging.

Vorweg es gibt derzeit keine konkreten Angaben um den Canyon zu begehen, der "Tiroler Schluchtenführer" ist großteils falsch! Setztzeug ist unabdingbar und verlasst euch nicht auf die Bandschlinge von einem Vorbegeher, da das eingesetzte Rapidglied NICHT geprüft ist und nur 4mm beträgt und die Bandschlinge, bei uns ohne Kontrolle, durchgerutscht wäre. Nehmt unbedingt 2x30m bzw. 1x60m Seil mit, da beim Abseiler vor der Ehemaligen Geschiebesperre ein Haken fehlt und somit vom der darübergelegenen Abseilstelle abgeseilt wird. (Der Abseiler ist durch seinen Geräuschpegel erkennbar, sehr laut, und ihr erkennt ihn am angehängten Bild.) Wir sind ohne Bohren durchgekommen, allerdings nutzen wir ein 60m Seil, Körpersicherungen, natürliche Standplätze, Holz aus Verklausungen und waren stets aufmerksam ob wir das Seil tatsächlich schon abziehen können. Die Schlucht ist wirklich sehr lange, 12-13km, rechnet also mit einer reinen Beghezeit von etwa 7-8h. Wir nutzten die Öffis um vom Parkplatz beim Egerbach Appartements zum Kaiserlift zu kommen und fuhren mit diesem hinauf. Abfahrt Bushaltestelle "Schwoich Egerbach" 0827h und sind um 2000h beim Auto angekommen. Es ist im Großteil der Schlucht kein Handyempfang vorhanden und man ist tatsächlich auf sich alleine gestellt! Man kommt überall auf Verklausungen und Stellen in denen man sich passende "Anker" suchen darf. Der Haken der Geschiebesperre befindet sich, inkl. den letzten zwei Balken, in etwa 5-6m Höhe. Dort ist auch die Plakette 1 angebracht, da die Begher nicht abwärts sondern aufwärts zählten. Wir haben die Plaketten 1,3,6,7,11,14 und 15 Gefunden, was einem einen groben Anhalt gibt. Alles in allem ist es eine schöne und sehr vordernde Schlucht. Sie erinnert in diesem Zustand fast schon an eine "Expeditions-Schlucht" und sollte keinesfalls unvorbereitet und schlecht ausgestattet begangen werden. First of all, there is currently no specific information on how to walk the canyon, the "Tiroler Schluchtenführer" is largely incorrect! It is essential to have a belay device and do not rely on the sling from a guide, as the rapid link used is NOT tested and is only 4mm and the sling would have slipped through without checking. Be sure to take 2x30m or 1x60m of rope with you, as an anchor is missing when rappelling in front of the former boulder barrier and is therefore rappelled from the rappel point above. (The rappel is recognizable by its noise level, very loud, and you can see it in the attached picture). We got through without drilling, but we used a 60m rope, body belays, natural belays, wood from jams and were always alert to see if we could actually pull the rope off. The canyon is really very long, 12-13km, so expect a pure walking time of about 7-8h. We used public transport to get from the parking lot at Egerbach Appartements to the Kaiserlift and took it up. Departure bus stop "Schwoich Egerbach" 0827h and arrived at the car at 2000h. There is no cell phone reception in most of the canyon and you really are on your own! You'll come across jams everywhere and places where you can look for suitable "anchors". The anchor of the bed load barrier, including the last two beams, is located at a height of about 5-6m. This is also where badge 1 is attached, as the guides counted upwards rather than downwards. We found plaques 1,3,6,7,11,14 and 15, which gives you a rough idea. All in all, it is a beautiful and very picturesque canyon. In this condition, it is almost reminiscent of an "expedition canyon" and should not be entered unprepared and ill-equipped. We were in there today when the water level was low and the "automatic rake" wasn't working today. We got in at the 35m rappel (classic "Area47" entry) and did the Kronburg to the exit. All the stands are usable here (but not all are good!) and you can get through without any problems. Eine schöne "Beginner"-Schlucht welche tolle Gesteinsformationen aufweist. Die Absicherungen sind gut und sie kann auch bei Ragen hervoragend begangen werden. Die Doppelstufe ist überhängend und der "lange Abseiler" kann am Seil abgerutscht werden. Nach dem letzte Abseiler (Geschiebesperre) kann orografisch links, bei einer Bank) ausgestiegen und dem Weg talwärts gefolgt werden. Wir sind den Bachlauf gefolgt und haben noch die ein oder andere tolle Stelle gefunden durch welche man sich hindurchzwängen konnte. A beautiful "beginner" canyon with great rock formations. The protection is good and it can also be climbed excellently on ragen. The double step is overhanging and the "long rappel" can be slipped on the rope. After the last rappel (boulder barrier), you can exit orographic left at a bench and follow the path downhill. We followed the course of the stream and found one or two great places to squeeze through. Die Pools sind schön leer und somit alle Sprünge machbar. Die Stände sind Top und auch die ersten komerziellen Begehung, dieses Jahr, wurden gemacht. Einzig das Wasser war mit 6°C recht frisch und die tiefen Pools waren daher sehr "aufweckend". The pools are nice and empty, so all the jumps are doable. The stands are top-notch and the first commercial ascent this year was also made. Only the water was quite fresh at 6°C and the deep pools were therefore very "waking". On the last big rappel (20m + 20m), the "Sauschwanz"/diverter is broken on the lower one and the orographic left stand (dry chain anchor) must always be checked for real usability, but there is a glued anchor on the right. A great canyon which is commercially accessible. The protection is very good and it can be climbed superiore even at high water levels. There is another worthwhile rappel after the exit behind the rake, but it is not recommended as there is no real exit afterwards!
