Debemos llegar a Fresneda, para ello en la A8 o N634, a la altura de Cabezón de la Sal, buscaremos el desvío de la CA180 dirección Cabuérniga, hasta llegar a Valle. Una vez en Valle cogeremos la CA280 dirección Reinosa hasta llegar a Fresneda. Sobrepasamos el pueblo y unos centenares de metros más adelante encontraremos una curva suave de izquierdas que tiene un carreterín a la derecha. Desde aquí sale una pista que remonta el arroyo de Valfría. Aparcamos el coche de retorno. Si tenemos coche de acceso seguimos por la pista hacía arriba, pasamos dos zonas de curvas enlazadas y nos encontramos una pista más pequeña que baja a la izquierda, al lado de una casa. Aparcamos por aquí.

Unos 300m después de la última cascada encontraremos una senda a la derecha, dicha senda luego pasa a la izquierda para remontar a la pista en la que aparcamos.
