We ran out of time in the canyon, so we skipped th...<br><strong>Access:</strong> The Central Cross Island Highway that goes through Taroko has many closures, one of them is at night (after 17:00), some of it is due to Work in the gorge section (only opens in 2-3 short intervalls during the day). Best is to head into it as early as possible, as it will be a long day.<br><strong>Return:</strong> The canyon ends in the bigger river. There it's important to keep an eye out beforehand for the way up again, as there is no real track, and it's very steep. Also once you get onto the "ridge walk", expect it to be tough.
