After 130 km in 4 hours - if it walks well - we come to Dumre. You can also get here from Pokhara after 67 km in a good 2 hours. In Dumre we turn northwards into the valley of the river Marsyangdi and reach Besisahar after 42 km and 1.5 hours. Here the paved road ends (2011). Now on dirt road 24 km or 75 min. further to the village of Syange. This is also the approach if you approach the Annapurna Trek from the east, i.e. counterclockwise. The intermediate belay at 160m is very cool, a few racy 60m-80m rappels that you can do in the water, but otherwise unfortunately hardly any...<br><strong>2025-01-31:</strong> Normal flow A3, original bolts/anchors was OK<br><strong>2022-02-10:</strong> First descent - 2022<br><strong>Comment:</strong> First abseil<br><br><strong>Approach:</strong> From Karuwa (1350m) approach by the jungle sherpas path through an abandoned shelter hut 1800m elev. to the glacial secret lake of Pipar Karka (old sherpas hut 3295m) 1st bivouac here, from there descend down to the creek and in the first tributary (a lot of jungle chaos), continue down to the first slope abseil in 2943m.<br><strong>Tour:</strong> From Pipar Karka 1-2 hr climbing down in wild jungle chaos. It starts inconspicuously with short abseils and free descents at 2943m, R5, R8, R6, R3 and R25, a strong tributary from the left and starting serious abseil, full of wonderful abseils and very nice flow. This will bring us over four larger verticals C55, C35, C20, C15 to the main C160 Hungry Birds, (R25 + easy climbing - in the short verticals below c160m there are suitable place for 2nd bivouac, 2135m - wood for the fire), then a series of beautiful waterfalls C12, C6, C75, C10, C12, C15, R15, C65, S8, C10, C35 to the final section of great cascade C90 + C70. Drilling set + bolts necessary, important!!!]]></desc></wpt><wpt lat="28.42730600" lon="84.42980600"><name>Jagat upper: Canyon Start</name><desc><![CDATA[v4 a3 IV | 2h15/5h/1h | ⭐ | 55m<br><strong>Approach:</strong> From the Jagat village (900m) descend the stairs over the rope bridge and climb by walk steeply stone path to Chipla village , through the village and fields, join the forest path. Final section of the sherpa trail can be overcome by light climbing. Old wooden bridge (2150m) is the entrance to the canyon (about 45 min from Chipla).<br><strong>Tour:</strong> Chaotic descent down an overgrown slope to the first abseil R25, R20. About 250m of walking and clim down, followed by C5, C5 and C10 and tributary. Followed by C2, C5, T8, C12, T15, C4 and a another tributary, C15, R3, R5, R4, T11, C6, C55, C5 and R3. Followed by R2 and T2, R5 and C55, a watery vertical C28 and the last T18 and 300m of walking. From there, traverse left through the fields and descend down to the river. Here you will find the start.<br><strong>Tour:</strong> Steep start and after several abseils D5, R15, R35, C12, S3, C10 and free climbing on inclined plates, via short abseils R25, R15, R20, C8, access to the balcony C90. At the bottom of the vertical - direct full injection! Follow more beautiful verticals C30, C30, C35 to the last technical C40 and easy climb steps R8, R6, R5 to the river bank. Technical river crossing!
