Von Arthur's Pass Village der SH73 Richtung Norden zu Fuß folgen bis zur Punchbowl Road und zum Car Park. (Es kann auch dort ein Auto abgestellt werden, das zweite beim Ausstieg - erspart einem ca. 2km/30min Gehzeit)

From Arthur's Pass Village, follow SH73 north on foot to Punchbowl Road and the Car Park. (You can also park one car there, the second at the exit - saves about 2km/30min walking time)

Vom Car Park dem Devils Punchbowl Track einmal über den Bealey River, ein zweites Mal über den Devils Punchbowl Creek folgen. Anschließend nach rechts abzweigen und dem Mount Aicken Track für ca. 800hm folgen. Auf ca. 1620hm in einer nach Süden gerichteten Rinne für 750m absteigen, bis man zu einem kleinen Bergsee kommt. Von dort Richtung südöstlich steil in den Canyon absteigen.

From the Car Park, follow the Devils Punchbowl Track once over the Bealey River and a second time over Devils Punchbowl Creek. Then turn right and follow the Mount Aicken Track for about 800m. At about 1620m, descend in a south-facing chute for 750m until you reach a small mountain lake. From there, descend steeply south-east into the canyon.

Die Tour startet auf ca. 1400hm. 2019 waren nur 3 Stände eingebohrt. Die restlichen wurden an natürlichen Punkten abgeseilt.

Auf ca. 1000hm endet der Canyon. Dann dem Bachbett bis zum Bealey River folgen (ca. 45min). Von dort entweder mit dem zweiten Auto oder zu Fuß auf der SH73 wieder nach Arthur's Pass Village.

The canyon exits at about 1000m. Then follow the streambed to the Bealey River (approx. 45min). From there either take the second car or walk on the SH73 back to Arthur's Pass Village.
