Rif --> A10 ri. Villach --> Mölltal --> Obervellach (zwischen Obervellach und Stallhofen) ri. Winklern --> bei Bundes- Straße re. zum Campingplatz (Fort Vancouver) --> unter der Bundesstraße durch --> über Brücke und li. bis zum Camping- platz --> hier parken.

Rif --> A10 Villach --> Mölltal --> Obervellach (between Obervellach and Stallhofen) ri. Winklern --> at the main road right to the campsite (Fort Vancouver) --> under the main road --> over the bridge and left to the campsite --> park here.

Von Campingplatz (Fort Vancouver) li. zu der großen Wegtafel --> hier den Weg hoch ri. Polinikfall --> nach ca. 500m an der Brücke li steil hoch auf Steigspuren --> immer Sichtkontakt der tief eingeschnittene Schlucht --> weiter gehen bis zu einen alten Steig --> re. halten bis zum Einstieg auf ca. 1120Hm.

From the campsite (Fort Vancouver) left to the large signpost --> here the path up towards Polinikfall --> after approx. 500m at the bridge left steeply up on the path --> always in sight of the deep canyon --> continue until you reach an old path --> keep right until you reach the entry at approx. 1120Hm.

Die Schlucht bietet von Anfang bis Ende ein sehr vielseitiges Programm an Abseiler --> Standplätze sind in guten Zustand --> viele kurze Abseiler im Wasser --> meist rutschig auch am Standplatz --> weinig Sonneneinstrahlung --> bei viel Wasser problematisch an den Engstellen (Pegelstand bei Ausstieg auf hohe der Holzbrücke kontrollieren) --> die höchste Abseilstelle kommt fast am Schluss und liegt meist außerhalb der Wasserführung (!!! Scharfe Kante) --> um die kurze Abseiler effektiver meistern zu können sollte auf ein zusätzliches kürzeres Seil nicht verzichtet werden.

The canyon offers a very varied program of rappels from start to finish --> belays are in good condition --> many short rappels in the water --> mostly slippery even at the belay --> little sunlight --> problematic at the narrow points when there is a lot of water (check the water level at the exit on the high wooden bridge) --> the highest rappel point comes almost at the end and is usually outside the water flow (!! Sharp edge) --> to master short rappels more effectively, you should not do without an additional rope.!!! sharp edges) --> in order to master the short rappels more effectively, an additional shorter rope should not be dispensed with.

Nach den letzten großen und den 2 kl. Abseiler geht es li. aus der Schlucht auf einen Wanderweg dann (re.) nochmals durch den Bach und an der Holzbrücke vorbei, bis man auf den Zustiegsweg trifft zurück zum Campingplatz/ Parkplatz.

After the last large and the 2 small rappels, you leave the canyon on the left onto a hiking trail, then (right) again through the stream and past the wooden bridge until you reach the access path back to the campsite/parking lot.
