Barranco abierto, poco transitado, con bastante vegetación. Como el resto de Gredos está escavado en granito y tiene bastantes posibilidades de escape. No tiene un gran interés salvo que lleve un buen caudal por lo que es buena opción para primavera. Se incluye el croquis de apertura pero a día de hoy las instalaciones son algo diferentes, prever material de repuesto, cordinos y algún metro más de cuerda por si acaso

Situándonos en Candeleda por la CL501 Por la derecha orográfica del río subiremos buscando la calle de la Jarra, al salir del pueblo se convierte en pista forestal en buen estado. Desde la salida del pueblo es algo más de 5kms. Aquí dejaremos el coche de retorno o si solo tenemos un vehículo. Con el coche de acceso seguiremos por la pista hacia el refugio de la Albarea y poco antes de llegar (unos 5kms de pista) tenemos una pista a la izquierda, es un giro muy cerrado, seguiremos esta pista en peor estado otros 5kms hasta un giro de derechas en el que sale una pista de frente, justo a nuestra izquierda tenemos nuestro barranco.

Si tenemos vehículo de acceso solo deberemos bajar al arroyo. Desde el coche de retorno deberemos subir por la ladera, por la izquierda orográfica del río, iremos buscando un cortafuegos que nos sube a otro cortafuegos más grande, lo seguiremos hasta la pista de arriba. Cogemos esta pista a la izquierda y llegamos al punto de aparcamiento superior.
