Debemos situarnos entre El Oro y Cortes de Pallás, al cual llegaremos por la CV428. Por la CV428 bajando a Cortes, justo pasado el pk11 sale a la izquierda una carretera a “Salto de Cortes II”, pasamos el helipuesto y en el siguiente desvío cogemos la pista de la izquierda, seguiremos por esta pista hasta los tubos. Aquí dejamos el coche de retorno. A unos 200m del pueblo de Cortés sale una pista a la izquierda (cartel de Otonel) por la cual iremos unos 6kms hasta las Peñas del Pastor. Aquí aparcamos el coche de acceso.

We must be located between El Oro and Cortes de Pallás, which we will reach by the CV428. On the CV428 going down to Cortes, just past pk11 there is a road to the left to "Salto de Cortes II", we pass the heliport and at the next detour we take the track on the left, we will continue along this track to the tubes. Descenso que se va cerrando poco a poco hasta llegar al R40. Aquí podremos salir en busca de la senda o hacer el último rápel ya con agua por la surgencia.

A la izquierda hacia los túneles y antigua carretera. Al llegar al puente lo cruzaremos y por la otra orilla seguiremos un par de minutos más hasta las tuberías. En caso de estar el nivel del embalse alto, nos tocará nadar por el embalse hasta la orilla contraria pasando por encima del puente, etc.
