Debemos situarnos en Los Tojos, para ello en la A8 o N634, a la altura de Cabezón de la Sal, buscaremos el desvío de la CA180 dirección Cabuérniga, hasta llegar a Valle. Una vez en Valle cogeremos la CA280 dirección Reinosa hasta llegar a Fresneda. Sobrepasamos el pueblo y un kilómetro después sale a la izquierda la CA817 hacia Los Tojos y Bárcena. En 4 km llegaremos al desvío de Los Tojos. Poco después, en la misma carretera, tenemos un merendero en donde poder aparcar el coche de retorno (no confundir con el aparcamiento del restaurante que hay nada más cruzar el puente, que es privado). Si tenemos coche de acceso subiremos al pueblo de Los Tojos y aparcamos.

Cerramos la portilla y continuamos, ya sea por la senda que bordea el prado (a veces cerrada por la vegetación) o por el propio prado. En unos 200 m. estaremos en el río. Si hemos aparcado en el pueblo de Los Tojos deberemos bajar andando hasta dicha curva y luego por el sendero encaminarnos a la cabecera del barranco.

Llegaremos al río Argoza, lo cruzamos y justo enfrente buscamos un cauce paralelo, normalmente seco. Al cabo de unos metros intuiremos a nuestra izquierda una senda delimitada por un muro que bordea los prados. En los primeros metros se encuentra cerrada de vegetación, pero enseguida se despeja y se camina bien por él. La seguiremos bordeando una vivienda y en dirección hacia la carretera y el puente.
