Situándonos entre Altea y Calpe por la N332, saldremos al Pueblo Mascarat en el pk 164,2 y seguiremos la calle Freu hasta abajo, junto al puente del barranco. Aparcamos por aquí el coche de retorno. Con el coche de acceso volvemos a la carretera y pasamos los túneles, en el pk 165,6 tenemos una pequeña explanada a la izquierda y una escombrera, podemos aparcar por aquí.

Situated between Altea and Calpe on the N332, we will leave the Mascarat village at pk 164.2 and follow the Freu street down to the bottom, next to the bridge of the ravine. We park the return car here. With the access car we return to the road and pass the tunnels, at km 165.6 we have a small esplanade on the left and a dump, we can park here.

Desde el coche de acceso podemos acceder al barranco rodeando la escombrera para bajar al cauce o por la carretera seguir hasta la pedrera por la que bajar al cauce. Desde el coche de retorno, si solo tenemos uno seguiremos la calle para girar al Carrer Llevant y subir hasta la parte superior. Al finalizar la calle llegamos a un sendero que nos lleva a la carretera casi frente a la escombrera.

From the access car we can access the ravine surrounding the dump to go down to the riverbed or follow the road to the stone quarry to go down to the riverbed. From the return car, if we only have one, we will follow the street to turn to Carrer Llevant and go up to the top. At the end of the street we reach a path that takes us to the road almost in front of the dump.

Un primer rápel cortito, destrepable, al que le sigue otro igual de corto para llegar al primer rápel interesante, donde tendremos que montar un desviador y salvar la poza. Para los siguientes podremos montar un guiado. Tras esto un pequeño rápel y el rápel largo del barranco bajo los puentes.

A first short rappel, which can be climbed, followed by another equally short one to reach the first interesting rappel, where we will have to mount a diverter and save the pool. For the following ones we will be able to mount a guided one. After this a small rappel and the long rappel of the canyon under the bridges.
