Salimos del Área recreativa Zarcia en dirección Sur ascendiendo por el río Urbión.

Seguiremos la indicación de los carteles “cascadas”. Al poco de empezar hay una bifurcación de pistas, continuamos por la izquierda. A unos 800 metros se cruza un puente y un poco después sale un sendero a la derecha, junto a una casa. El sendero está marcado con señales verdes y blancas. El sendero es técnico. Va ascendiendo hasta la “Majada de las Cabras” 1200 msnm. Seguiremos descendiendo hasta el río Altuzarra. En este momento el sendero se pierde, iremos ascendiendo por el cauce, buscando las zonas más cómodas para progresar. Continuamos superando las cascadas que luego rapelaremos por su lateral llegando a la cascada doble donde, en su parte superior, se encuentra la primera instalación que da inicio al barranco.

Después del cuarto rápel, obviaremos el sendero por el que hemos accedido, dejándolo a la izquierda, para continuar por el cauce del río unos 200 metros para llegar al río Urbión. Lo vadearemos buscando la senda en la ladera opuesta. Continuaremos por el sendero valle abajo y dirección norte hasta el parking, unos 2 kms. 30´
