Summary:
Vertical canyon
April - October
Limestone
Summary:
Vertical canyon
Access:
Approach (1 h):
Follow the path toward the Fratarica Canyon, which is well visible. When you reach the top of the lower section, continue climbing over the rocks and enter the forest on a faint path, used mainly by hunters. Keep ascending steeply. At approximately 1050 meters, turn right — this will lead you to the canyon.
Tour (3 h):
A vertical canyon with beautiful rappels and stunning views of the valley. The highlight of the upper section is a 50-meter rappel, which can be done in two stages.
The anchor points were in decent condition during our visit, but it would be a good idea to replace them.
Spring is a great time to visit, as you can pass through snow tunnels formed by the large amount of snow deposited by winter avalanches.
After the upper part you continue in the lower part which is also nice and fun canyon!
Return (5 min):
Follow the path back to car, super easy.
Hydrology:
Flash flood canyon – not advisable to enter during bad weather.
