Deberemos situarnos en la población de Penáguila. En la N340 a la altura de Alcoy, en el pk 790, tenemos el desvío a Benifallim y Penáguila por la CV785. Iremos por esa carretera hasta el pueblo. Justo en el pueblo hay una curva muy cerrada de izquierdas sobre el barranco, seguiremos de frente y aparcamos el coche de retorno. Si tenemos coche de acceso retrocederemos 50m hasta la pista/carretera que sube hacia la ermita de Sant Roc, seguimos de frente hasta la curva cerrada de derechas y aparcamos en ella.

We must be located in the town of Penáguila. On the N340 at the height of Alcoy, at pk 790, we have the detour to Benifallim and Penáguila by the CV785. We will go along this road to the village. Just in the village there is a very sharp left turn over the ravine, we will continue straight ahead and park the car back. If we have an access car we will go back 50m to the track/road that goes up to the hermitage of Sant Roc, we continue straight on until the sharp right curve and park on it.

Con un solo coche subiremos hasta el aparcamiento de acceso, desde allí sale una senda de frente por el vallecito que al poco cruza a la otra ladera para subir hacia el arco de Santa Lucía y el Castell de Penáguila. Al llegar arriba cruza un cauce seco, aquí accedemos al barranco.

With only one car we will go up to the access parking, from there a path goes straight ahead through the valley that soon crosses to the other side to climb towards the arch of Santa Lucia and the Castell de Penáguila. At the top crosses a dry riverbed, here we access the ravine.

Un primer rápel que nos deja en una marmita, se puede hacer un guiado para que el resto no tenga que acceder a la marmita. Estaremos atentos por si la cuerda con nudos no está o está deteriorada pues es de difícil salida. Seguiremos con otro rápel justo desde la marmita para llegar a una zona abierta por la que andaremos un rato hasta la vertical, en donde el barranco se estrecha un poco y tenemos 4 rápeles enlazados. A tener en cuenta que el R30 es una repisita con dos parabolts en el que solo caben 2 personas (3 muy juntitos).

A first rappel that leaves us in a marmita, it can be guided so that the rest do not have to access the marmita. We will be attentive in case the rope with knots is not there or is deteriorated because it is difficult to exit. We will continue with another rappel right from the marmita to reach an open area where we will walk for a while up to the vertical, where the canyon narrows a little and we have 4 rappels linked. Keep in mind that the R30 is a repisita with two parabolts in which only fit 2 people (3 very close together).

Tras el último rápel deberemos andar por el cauce hasta el aparcamiento de la curva de salida

After the last rappel we must walk along the riverbed to the parking lot at the exit curve.
