Por la N260 entre Pont de Suert y la Pobla de Segur, a la altura de Senterada nos desviamos por la L503 a la Torre de Cabdella. Seguiremos por la misma carretera hacia el pueblo de Cabdella, poco antes de las recurvas de Cabdella, se juntan los ríos Riqüerna , Filià y Flamisell, a la izquierda hay una explanada donde aparcar. Si tenemos coche de acceso seguiremos hasta cruzar el pueblo y pasar por encima del puente en el que podemos ver el caudal, y otros 700m después llegaremos a un poste indicador (desde el coche de retorno son casi 2kms). Entretenido descenso, muy resbaladizo Peligro: Entre el R4 y el R5 hay un resalte,que forma un tobogán de aproximadamente unos 5 metros,al final de este se forma un rebufo peligroso,en el cual ha habido ya algun susto,también detras del rebufo se crea un pequeño drosaje que normalmente no comporta problemas.

Cuando las paredes pierden altura podemos salir a la derecha para remontar hasta la carretera. Otra opción es continuar por el río hasta que recibe el aporte del Riqüerna por la derecha y ahí es casi inmediata la subida a la carretera .
