Disquisiciones toponímicas aparte, este es un sencillo barranco de iniciación con rápeles de hasta 10m y unos estrechos muy bien formados. Generalmente no lleva agua, pero las marmitas pueden mantenerla casi todo el año, por lo que encontraremos pasamanos en varias partes del recorrido para eludir el meternos en las aguas estancadas.

Por la CV35 hacia Tuejar. Si vamos desde Valencia, pasada la gasolinera tenemos a la derecha la Mancomunidad del Alto Turia y el desvío a la derecha al nacimiento del Tuejar. Cogemos ese carreterín, y seguimos hasta el albergue. Aquí dejaremos el azud a la izquierda y seguimos por la carretera de frente. Esta pista cruza varias veces el río. Llega un momento, tras 6kms de pista que se separa un poco del río y hace una recurva sobre el arroyo Mozul y 200m después tenemos el arroyo Ahillas a nuestra derecha. Si nos pasamos a los pocos metros tenemos un cruce característico de pistas.

Take the CV35 towards Tuejar. If we go from Valencia, past the gas station we have on the right the Mancomunidad del Alto Turia and the detour to the right to the source of Tuejar. We take this small road, and continue to the hostel. Here we leave the dam on the left and continue along the road straight ahead. This track crosses the river several times. There comes a moment, after 6kms of track that separates a little from the river and makes a bend over the Mozul stream and 200m later we have the Ahillas stream on our right. If we pass a few meters we have a characteristic crossing of tracks.

Saldremos por la antigua pista que remonta por la derecha orográfica el arroyo, se eleva hasta dar a parar a otra pista, la cogemos a la derecha y la seguimos siempre con el barranco a nuestra derecha. Al kilómetro y medio aprox un desvío que tomamos a la derecha nos baja hacia una antigua presa/dique, por aquí accedemos

Descenso encajonado, empezaremos desde el dique, luego iremos con cuidado para no resbalarnos por los destrepes de este precioso barranco hasta llegar a la cuerda que nos permite subir a la repisa izquierda. El resto es pasamanos, destrepes y algún rápel sin dificultad. Muy estético

We will start from the dike, then we will be careful not to slip on the cliffs of this beautiful canyon until we reach the rope that allows us to climb to the left ledge. The rest is handrails, cliffs and some rappels without difficulty. Very aesthetic
