O barranco de la Eco, es un descenso sobre los Gigantes, en su gran grieta, en donde acabaremos en la playa de la Eco , por lo que deberemos estudiar las mareas y esperar a que tengamos marea baja. Muy vertical, expuesto y sin posibilidad de reagrupar, todos los miembros deben conocer perfectamente las técnicas de descenso. Para el retorno nos deberá esperar una barca cerca de la playa y deberemos salir a nado. Situándonos en el puerto de los Gigantes, en donde dejaremos un vehículo y habremos acordado con una barca del pueblo la hora de recogida. Con el coche de acceso subiremos a Tamaimo, tras pasar el p.k 1, justo antes del cementerio, hay una curva cerrada de derechas y una pista a la izquierda. Aparcamos aquí junto al restaurante

Por la pista y cogemos la primera a la derecha (por esta pista se podría acceder casi un kilómetro con el vehículo de acceso, junto al bco Santiago). Se coge la siguiente pista a la izquierda, en sentido descendente durante casi 500m para dejar el PR-TF65 e ir a la derecha hasta subir la loma de la montaña. Una vez en la arista dejamos el sendero y iremos a la izquierda, por el monte, sin perder altura hacia la Degollada Bermeja y de ahí al Alto del Gigante, lo rodeamos “por detrás” y vamos a parar a nuestro descenso
