Von Lecco fährt man auf der SS36 Richtung Valsassina hoch. Nach dem Tunnel kommt bei Ballabio ein Kreisverkehr, wo man auf der SP62 in Richtung Morterone wechselt. Am Ende der Ortschaft biegt man li nach Morterone ab (SP63). Die Straße führt hier kurz bergab zum Industriegebiet. Vor der Firma „Grigna Color“ biegt re ab und fährt über die kleine Brücke. Ca. 50m nach der Brücke kommt re eine Schotterstraße (große Steine). Dieser Schotterstraße folgt man bis zum Fahrverbotsschild. Hier das Überstellungsfahrzeug parken (45.883311, 9.427962). Mit dem 2. PKW fährt man dann auf der asphaltierten Bergstraße weiter Richtung Morterone. Nach 8 Serpentinenkurven kommt ein kleiner Tunnel, darauf folgen 6 weitere Serpentinenkurven. Danach haltet man Ausschau nach einer kleinen Ausweiche auf der li Seite (Klettersteig „Via Ferrata Simone Contessi“). Auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite gibt es nur eine begrenzte Parkmöglichkeit (45.879869, 9.441534). Kleiner Tipp: Verfügt man nur über 1 PKW, so fährt man sein Material zuerst hoch, versteckt es in der Nähe der Ausweiche und geht dann von unteren Parkplatz über den Pfad/Wanderweg or.li. neben der Schlucht hoch.

From Lecco, take the SS36 up towards Valsassina. After the tunnel there is a traffic circle at Ballabio, where you take the SP62 towards Morterone. At the exit of the village, turn left towards Morterone (SP63). The road here leads briefly downhill to the industrial area. Before the "Grigna Color" company, turn right and cross the small bridge. Approx. 50m after the bridge there is a gravel road on the right (large stones). Follow this gravel road until you reach a no-entry sign. Park the shuttle car here (45.883311, 9.427962). With the 2nd car, continue on the asphalted mountain road towards Morterone. After 8 hairpin bends there is a small tunnel, followed by 6 more hairpin bends. Then look out for a small detour on the left (via ferrata "Via Ferrata Simone Contessi"). There is only limited parking on the opposite side of the road (45.879869, 9.441534). A little tip: If you only have 1 car, drive your equipment up first, hide it near the turnout and then walk up from the lower parking lot via the path/hiking trail ortographic left next to the canyon.

(zu Fuß 1h15min) Variante 1PKW ->Von unteren Parkplatz folgt man zu Fuß der Schotterstraße (Hochspannungsleitungen) leicht abfallen bis zum Ende. Vor dem Wartungstunnel führt li ein unscheinbarer Pfad hoch, vorbei an einer kleinen Ruine. Nach einigen Hm. trifft man auf die SP63. In der darauffolgenden Serpentinenkurve geht der Wanderweg re wieder weiter in den Wald hoch. Nach weiteren Hm. Kommt man wieder auf die Bergstraße. Hier bleibt man auf der Straße die man bis kurz vor der Ausweiche (Klettersteigschild „Via Ferrata Simone Contessi) folgt. Um in die Schlucht abzusteigen hat man 2 Möglichkeiten. 1. Möglichkeit (oberer Einstieg): Bei der Ausweiche zweigt re eine schmale Schotterstraße (Schild Fahrverbot) ab. Dieser folgt man leicht abfallend bis zum Bach. 2. Möglichkeit: Empfehlung!(mittlerer Einstieg): 50m vor der Ausweiche kommt ein Baum mit einem Holzschild „Cascata di Chiaccio, Val Boazzo-P Erna Posteggio“. Hier folgt man ca. 15min den steilen unscheinbaren Pfad bis zum Bach (auf ca.790m) hinunter. Der letzte kurze untere Teil beginnt auf ca.560m nach der Wehranlage (unter der Straßenbrücke)

(on foot 1h15min) Variant 1Car ->From the lower parking lot, follow the gravel road (high-voltage power lines) on foot, descending slightly to the exit. An inconspicuous path is left before the maintenance tunnel, past a small ruin. After a few meters you reach the SP63. In the following serpentine bend, the hiking trail continues right up into the forest. After a few more m. You reach the mountain road again. Here you stay on the road until shortly before the turn-off (via ferrata sign "Via Ferrata Simone Contessi"). You have 2 options for descending into the canyon. 1st possibility (upper entry): At the turnout, a narrow gravel road branches off to the right (no driving signs). Follow this slightly downhill to the stream. 2nd option: Recommendation!(middle entry): 50m before the turnout there is a tree with a wooden sign "Cascata di Chiaccio, Val Boazzo-P Erna Posteggio". Follow the steep, inconspicuous path for about 15 minutes down to the stream (at about 790m). The last short lower section begins at approx. 560m after the weir (under the road bridge)

Die T. Boazzo ist eine interessante Schlucht mit vielen kurzen Abseilstellen im Wasser. Sollte die Schlucht mal zu viel Wasser führen, können einige Stellen sehr gefährlich werden. Besonderes der Siphon in der Mitte der Tour stellt dann eine große Gefahr dar (kann jedoch mittels Seilgeländers re. hinter der Gefahrenstelle/Siphon abgeseilt werden!). Mehrere Stufen können meist auch abgeklettert oder gesprungen werden. An der Staumauer mit Wasserableitung angekommen kann auf ca.560m re bequem über einen Weg ausgestiegen werden oder man geht den unteren Schluchtenteil, der weniger Wasser führt, weiter. An der Wasserableitung findet man li einen Eisenstift mit angeschweißtem Kettenglied über den man das Seil für die rutschige Abseilstelle einrichtet. An der nächsten Stufe gibt es nur 2 alte Bohrhaken. Die weiteren kurzen Abseilstellen sind jedoch gut eingerichtet. Auch wenn der untere Teil nur wenig Wasser führt ist er trotzdem lohnenswert. Nach der letzten Höhlenartigen Engstelle kommt ein Wasserrohr, an dieser Stelle steigt man auf ca. 500m li aus dem Bach aus.

The T. Boazzo is an interesting canyon with many short abseils in the water. If there is too much water in the canyon, some places can become very dangerous. The siphon in the middle of the tour is particularly dangerous (but can be rappelled right behind the danger point/siphon using a rope traverse). Several steps can usually also be downclimbed or jumped. Once you reach the dam wall with water drainage, you can get out comfortably via a path at approx. 560m on the right or continue along the lower part of the gorge, which carries less water. At the water drainage, you will find an iron pin with a welded-on chain link that you can use to set up the rope for the slippery abseiling point. At the next step there are only 2 old bolts. However, the other short abseils are well equipped. Even though the lower section has little water, it is still worthwhile. After the last cave-like narrow section there is a water pipe, at this point you climb out of the stream about 500m left.

Den Wanderweg or.li neben dem Bach folgen. Am kleinen Kraftwerkshäuschen überquert man den Bach über eine kl. Brücke. Nach der Brücke re der Schotterstraße folgen. Am Ende des kleinen Werkgeländes folgt man dem Wanderweg Richtung „Passo del Lupo/Bellabio/Versacio“ hoch. Bei der Abzweigung li halten (re führt der Weg zur Staumauer bzw. Ausstieg Boazzo intermedio) und weiter hoch bis man wieder auf die Schotterstraße trifft. Hier folgt man der Schotterstraße li zurück zum Parkplatz.

Follow the hiking trail ortographic left next to the stream. At the small power station house, cross the stream over a small bridge. After the bridge, follow the gravel road to the right. At the exit of the small power station, follow the hiking trail up towards "Passo del Lupo/Bellabio/Versacio". Keep left at the junction (the path on the right leads to the dam wall or the Boazzo intermedio exit) and continue uphill until you reach the gravel road again. Follow the gravel road left back to the parking lot.
