Situados en Trevélez seguiremos la carretera dirección Almería hasta el punto kilométrico 36, atravesamos el cauce y a la derecha pasado el puente hay sitio para varios coches. (no junto al puente, finca privada)

Situación bcos los Castaños, los Alisos y la Bina Una vez aparcado el coche de la salida desharemos el camino por la carretera hacia Trevélez buscando el punto kilométrico 35, a nuestra derecha veremos que nace el bonito camino comunal que en un suave ascenso atraviesa la acequia de Cástaras. Con el máximo respeto y sin entrar en ella la seguiremos hasta llegar a la confluencia con el barranco de los Castaños, el primer cauce que la cruza.Si el barranco ya lleva caudal antes de la acequia, estamos de suerte.
Situation bcos los Castaños, los Alisos and la Bina Once parked the car of the exit we will undo the way by the road towards Trevélez looking for the kilometer point 35, to our right we will see that the beautiful communal way is born that in a smooth ascent crosses the irrigation ditch of Cástaras. With the utmost respect and without entering it we will follow it until we reach the confluence with the ravine of the Castaños, the first channel that crosses it, if the ravine already has flow before the irrigation channel, we are in luck.

Una vez cambiados tenemos un monopunto para llegar con seguridad al primer rapel R15. Una vez abajo evitaremos por la derecha orográfica un tapón de vegetación y en seguida con un natural volveremos a meternos al río para no abandonarlo ya más, desde aquí todo es continuo hasta llegar al puente.

Existe una salida anterior al puente que si bien es más cómoda puede generar conflictos cortijeros. Es mejor llegar al puente y salir por la derecha con el máximo respeto posible a las puertas y vallas caseras.
