Espectacular en su desarrollo, abierto hacia la costa norte, en el cabo Ortegal, con unas maravillosas vistas del faro y de “Los Farallones”. Cerca esta también Estaca de Bares,donde se juntan el Atlàntico y el Cantábrico. En este enclave único encontramos este barranco, generalmente seco, salvo tras lluvias. Más de 300m de descenso de acantilado que posteriormente tendremos que remontar para volver. Con mucha agua es bastante técnico y el retorno puede resultar duro sobre todo con mucho calor. No es recomendable para gente poco experta, además no hay cobertura movil en todo el recorrido. Por confirmar retorno correcto

Deberemos situarnos en Cariño, en el Norte de A Coruña, junto al Cabo Ortegal Llegando a Cariño por la DP2205 giraremos hacia el Miradoiro do Limo (2km) y el Cabo ortegal. Junto al mirador, sale una pista ladera arriba que tras unas curvas enlazadas, sigue recto y hace un giro a la izquierda. Momento para aparcar

Seguimos unos metros la pista y nos encontramos los restos de otra pista por la derecha (retorno), aquí ya intuimos la vaguada de nuestro barranco, la seguiremos hasta que se va encerrando y tomando entidad. Se puede llegar a cabecera del barranco paralelo al cauce y en ultimo momento bajar perpendicular para llegar a la primera reunion

Sin tiempos muertos, sucesión de rápeles con bastantes roces hasta casi la playa, un par de zonas de destrepes y finalmente los rápeles largos. Si no se vá tras periodo de lluvias llevará poca agua (en verano casi seco), pero si se coge con mucha agua la cosa se anima bastante.

No downtime, a succession of rappels with a lot of friction up to almost the beach, a couple of areas of dexterity and finally the long rappels. Pedrera a la derecha, entre hierba y pedrera hay que ascender en busca de la mejor manera de progresar hasta salir del acantilado. Después de subir algo llegamos a un punto donde podremos optar por tirar a la izquierda alejándonos del cauce o hacia la derecha aproximándonos al curso de agua. Es mejor opción la Derecha (no facil), buscando la cabecera del barranco. Hay algún paso comprometido donde un resbalón en la hierba puede darnos un susto. Pedrera to the right, between grass and pedrera we have to ascend in search of the best way to progress until we get out of the cliff. After climbing a little we reach a point where we can choose to pull to the left away from the riverbed or to the right approaching the watercourse.
