O barrancos de los Huecos, es un barranco largo, muy largo, en el que podremos echar el día entero. Con necesaria combinación de vehículos y a evitar en lluvias. Con dos partes, hasta la galería de los Huecos con 26 rápeles (explicado aquí) y hasta el final otros 9 rápeles (creemos que no merece la pena). Es un descenso muy largo en el que se nos puede hacer de noche (preverlo) y en el que deberemos portar agua y comida para una jornada muy larga, así como material de repuesto. Bcos zona Arafo Situándonos en Arafo, cogeremos la TF523, carretera del Teide. Pasado el p.k. 5 tenemos una pista a la izquierda (retorno) en una curva de derechas con el indicador a “Los Frailes”, seguiremos dicha pista hasta el área recreativa. Con el vehículo de acceso seguiremos subiendo para coger la TF24 e ir casi hacia Izaña pasando por el Mirador de Chimague, pasado el p.k. 27 tenemos una pista a la derecha y la carretera pasa de una ladera a otra. A los 500m tenemos un sitio para aparcar a la izquierda

Bcos Arafo area In Arafo, we will take the TF523, Teide road. After the p.k. 5 we have a track on the left (return) in a right curve with the indicator to "Los Frailes", we will follow this track to the recreational area. Desde este aparcamiento tomamos una senda levemente ascendente que va a coger el cordal del Risco Ayesa, subiremos en leves zig-zag con algunos hitos que nos indicarán el sendero a seguir. Al llegar al risco iremos hacia abajo y a los pocos metros unos hitos nos indican que hay que ir a la derecha dejando el sendero y campo a través sin perder altura hasta un hito en el que veremos que el acceso vuelve a girar para abajo hasta coger un pequeño cauce, por este cauce llegaremos a un hito que nos indica dónde se encuentra el primer rápel.

Tras el último rápel y por la izquierda llegaremos a la galería de los Huecos, cruzamos a la derecha y remontamos hasta un sendero, tendremos que seguirlo en dirección descendente hasta el área recreativa.
