Canyon on the southern slope of the Bielsa tunnel, on the road to the old port, an access with history for a beautiful canyon. Alpine stream quite open with natural rappels, lots of atmosphere and very cold water. In winter it forms a nice ice waterfall.

Tenemos que ir hasta el túnel de Bielsa, para ello llegamos a Ainsa y cogemos la A138 dirección Francia o desde Francia por la D929 subiendo por St Lary-Soulan. Justo al lado del túnel de Bielsa tenemos sitio para aparcar.

We have to go to the tunnel of Bielsa, for it we arrive at Ainsa and take the A138 towards France or from France by the D929 going up by St Lary-Soulan. Right next to the Bielsa tunnel we have parking space.

Saldremos por el sendero del puerto viejo viendo las cascadas a nuestro lado. El sendero se aproxima a media subida (escape en caso necesario) y vuelve a a lejarse. Casi a los 2000m veremos que el sendero sigue dirección norte alejándose del todo y un mojón nos indica un senderito a la izquierda por el cual acceder a la cabecera. Si queremos evitar el primer rápel/destrepe podemos acceder más abajo

We will leave by the path of the old port seeing the waterfalls at our side. The trail approaches halfway uphill (escape if necessary) and goes away again. Almost at 2000m we will see that the trail continues northward away from the whole and a cairn indicates a path to the left by which to access the headwaters. If we want to avoid the first rappel/destrep we can access further down.

Descenso alpino, en naturales. Muchos de ellos se pueden evitar porque el barranco es bastante abierto En la gran rapel, en paralelo, en la dcha orográfica, hay un natural en árbol que te permite llegar a una reunión, desde la que bajas un tramo por el activo y que puede terminar en la poza, pero necesita cuerda muy larga, de cerca de 100 m y difícil recuperación.(2024.07-P.Sanchez) Lo mejor es que si van a bajar por la dcha orográfica, que el último recupere la cuerda desde arriba y baje por la izda orográfica desde el árbol y rápeles de 16+60+25.(2024.07-P.Sanchez)
