Iremos hasta Ezcaray, para ello por la N120 llegamos a Santo Domingo de la Calzada y aquí atravesando el pueblo, cogemos la LR111. Una vez en Ezcaray seguimos los carteles hacia la estación de esquí para salir del pueblo, tras cruzar el puente estaremos en la LR415 que nos lleva a Posadas. Justo en Posadas sale una pista a la izquierda que sube a Altuzarra, subiremos hasta allí y aparcaremos.

Once in Ezcaray we follow the signs to the ski resort to leave the village, after crossing the bridge we will be on the LR415 that takes us to Posadas. Just in Posadas there is a track on the left that goes up to Altuzarra, we will go up to there and park.

Por el camino que remonta el arroyo por su izquierda orográfica, al poco un desvío a la derecha en subida continua que se adentra en el arroyo Zunarro. Entre el bosque llegará un momento en el que bajaremos a cruzar el arroyo y veremos un sendero bien marcado que lo remonta por la derecha orográfica. Al llegar a un punto en el que cruza a la izquierda habremos llegado al final del barranco, seguiremos subiendo por el bosque hasta cruzar nuevamente el arroyo a la derecha orográfica y, siguiendo ya los mojones, sin un sendero tan marcado, superaremos las cascadas superiores para ya entrar allí.
