Bonito y sencillo barranco del Pallars. La aproximación no es complicada y se tarda poco y el retorno igualmente rápido. En primavera el arroyo puede ir bastante cargado por el deshielo pero en verano queda un hilo así que el final de la primavera es su mejor momento.

Nice and simple ravine of the Pallars. The approach is not complicated and takes little time and the return is equally fast. In spring the stream can be quite loaded by the thaw but in summer there is a trickle so the end of spring is the best time.

Por la N260 hasta Sort, una vez allí nos desviamos por la C13 hacia Llavorsi. En Llavorsí, justo a la entrada, tras el puente giraremos a la derecha por la L504 a Alins/Ribera de Cardós/Tavascán siguiendo el río Cardós, valle amplio y magnífico. A los casi 4kms tendremos una rotonda, seguiremos de frente hacia Alins/Areu por la L510 (hacia la Vall Ferrera). Por este tramo de carretera nos iremos adentrando entre las altas cumbres buscando los hermosos pueblos de la Vall Ferrera, Araós, Alins, Areu… En este caso nada más pasar Araós tenemos el puente sobre el Besan (podremos aparcar por aquí) o continuar kilómetro y medio hasta el desvío a la izquierda a Besan (justo en la borda).

By the N260 to Sort, once there we turn off on the C13 to Llavorsi. In Llavorsí, just at the entrance, after the bridge we turn right onto the L504 to Alins/Ribera de Cardós/Tavascán following the river Cardós, a wide and magnificent valley. After almost 4kms we will have a traffic circle, we will continue straight on towards Alins/Areu on the L510 (towards Vall Ferrera). Along this stretch of road we will go into the high peaks looking for the beautiful villages of the Vall Ferrera, Araós, Alins, Areu... In this case just after passing Araós we have the bridge over the Besan (we can park here) or continue a kilometer and a half to the detour to the left to Besan (just at the edge).

Desde el desvío iremos andando por el sendero con buenas pistas hacia Besan y cuando alcancemos la cresta veremos al fondo en el valle la iglesia. Seguiremos hasta el puente sobre el río.

From the detour we will walk along the path with good tracks towards Besan and when we reach the ridge we will see the church at the bottom of the valley. We will continue to the bridge over the river.
