Situándonos entre Candeleda y Madrigal de la Vera (CL501), llegaremos al pueblo de El Raso. Seguiremos la indicaciones al Castro hasta el Restaurante Mirador de Gredos, justo a la salida del pueblo, donde giraremos a la izquierda hacia el Castro Vetón de El Raso (punto de referencia en Maps). Seguiremos esa pista hasta el puente sobre el arroyo del Pinillo (6,7 kms desde El Raso), aquí la pista hace un giro muy cerrado de derecha y de frente nos deja en el puente. Aparcamos.

Situated between Candeleda and Madrigal de la Vera (CL501), we will arrive at the village of El Raso. We will follow this track to the bridge over the Pinillo stream (6.7 kms from El Raso), here the track makes a sharp right turn and straight ahead leaves us on the bridge. We park.

Salimos por la pista y los pocos metros a la derecha por el PR AV 47 para remontar la ladera. Tras pasar un chozo (y el mirador), al que llegaremos en 1h, seguiremos un poco más la subida, para ver, ya a nuestra izquierda, el cauce del arroyo, hora de meternos en él por encima de los resaltes rocosos.

Descenso de grandes dimensiones, casi todos sus rápeles son largos aunque no son demasiado verticales, sí muy resbaladizos, como casi todos los descensos de la zona. El último rápel es el de 150m fraccionado, encontraremos opción de descenderlo por ambos lados, precaución al bajar y evaluar con mucho cuidado si se puede continuar el descenso por el lado elegido.
