Salimos de Granada en dirección a las pistas de esquí de Sierra Nevada por la A395. En el p.k. 13,5 tenemos el desvío a la izquierda a Canales, bajaremos por toda esta calle hasta el aparcamiento que hay al final. Aquí dejamos el coche de retorno. Con el coche de acceso volvemos a la carretera y seguimos hasta el p.k. 16 donde está el Hotel-Restaurante la Higuera, aquí aparcamos el coche de acceso.

We leave Granada towards the ski slopes of Sierra Nevada on the A395. At the p.k. 13.5 we have the detour to the left to Canales, we will go down this street until the parking lot at the end. Here we leave the return car. With the access car we return to the road and continue until p.k. 16 where the Hotel-Restaurant is. 16 where the Hotel-Restaurant la Higuera is, here we park the access car.

Desde el aparcamiento sale una pista por su izquierda que va acercarse al cauce, solo habrá que seguir el lecho seco del barranco hasta una represa y al poco el primer rápel

Tras el último rápel un senderito por la izquierda que no pierde altura nos acercará, desde las alturas, al embalse, y justo allí encontraremos una pista asfaltada que tomando a la izquierda nos sube a nuestro aparcamiento (02.03.2024)Por el portón que da acceso al pantano (37,1559632, -3,4779296) justo debajo de plaza de Andalucía 18191, está prohibido salir desde hace tiempo. La salida alternativa que nos comentaron fue coger un camino que hay a mano izquierda antes de pasar el tunel y llega salir más arriba de Plaza de Andalucía 18191 (aunque no especificaron a la altura exacta).
