Anfahrt von der A12 - Ausfahrt Massa nach Tre Fiume und weiter bis zu der Stelle, wo die Straße dem Fosso Fatonero gegenüber liegt (siehe Anfahrtsskizze in Fotogalerie). Falls man von P2 zusteigen will (Autoumsetzung dann sinnvoll) Anfahrt nach Arni (P2).

Approach from the A12 - Massa exit to Tre Fiume and continue to the point where the road is opposite the Fosso Fatonero (see map in photo gallery). If you want to get on from P2 (shuttle then useful) approach Arni (P2).

1. Möglichkeit (auf diese beziehen sich die obigen Höhen- und Zeitangaben): Wir klettern im Fosso del Fatonero aufwärts. Einige Passagen sind mit Fixseilen eingerichtet. Ziemlich am Ende des Hochtales halten wir rechts hinauf, stoßen oben auf den Wanderweg, der von Arni (P2) heraufzieht und marschieren durch die/den Foce/Passo Contapecore (1472m Höhe). Jenseits laufen wir immer leicht bergab den weiten Kessel unter dem Monte Sumbra (1765m Höhe) aus und steigen bei etwa 1100 m Höhe bei der Mündung eines von links herab kommenden Trockenbaches in den Fosso Anguillaia ein. 2. Möglichkeit: Wie bei 1. den Fosso Fatonero hinauf, aber bei der ersten Aufweitung der Schlucht (auf etwa 870m Höhe) rechts (orograf. links) den steilen Hang hinauf zu einer Schulter (1030m Höhe) von hier halten wir ständig absteigend auf den Punkt zu, wo dieses rechte Seitenkar des Fosso Anguillaia mit letzterem zusammenläuft. Etwas unterhalb steigen wir dann ein (850m Höhe), ggf. unter Verwendung der Seile. 3. Möglichkeit: Zustieg auf dem Wanderweg von Arni. Dieser Zustieg hat den Vorteil eines bequemen Steigs und der höheren Ausgangslage (930m Höhe). So verkürzt sich auch die Zeit zum oberen Einstieg. Andrerseits entgehen einem die Marmortöpfe im Fosso Fatonero. Das Auto stellen wir auf den großen Parkplatz im Norden des Weilers Arni (P2). An dessen südlichen Ende beginnt auch der Wanderweg. Zunächst geht es zur Schulter Focetta (1110m Höhe), dann hinauf zum Malpasso (1445m Höhe). Nun quert man den Kessel im Talschluss des Fatonero im gleichnamigen "Bosco" (Wald). Dann kommt man zur Foce Contapecore (1472m Höhe), um ab hier dem Zustiegsweg unter 1. zu folgen.

1st option (the above altitude and time data refer to this option): We climb up the Fosso del Fatonero. Some passages are equipped with fixed ropes. Almost at the exit of the high valley, we keep right uphill, join the hiking trail at the top that comes up from Arni (P2) and walk through the Foce/Passo Contapecore (1472m altitude). On the other side, walk slightly downhill along the wide basin below Monte Sumbra (1765 m altitude) and enter the Fosso Anguillaia at about 1100 m altitude at the mouth of a dry stream coming down from the left. 2nd option: As in the first option, ascend the Fosso Fatonero, but at the first widening of the canyon (at about 870m altitude) turn right (orographic left) up the steep slope to a shoulder (1030m altitude) from here we keep descending towards the point where this right side cirque of the Fosso Anguillaia joins the latter. A little below we then climb in (850m altitude), using the ropes if necessary. 3rd option: access on the hiking trail from Arni. This access has the advantage of a comfortable path and a higher starting point (930m altitude). This also shortens the time to the upper entry. On the other hand, you miss the marble pots in the Fosso Fatonero. We park the car in the large parking lot to the north of the hamlet of Arni (P2). The hiking trail also begins at the southern exit. First head to the Focetta shoulder (1110 m altitude), then up to Malpasso (1445 m altitude). Now cross the basin at the head of the Fatonero valley in the "Bosco" (forest) of the same name. Then you come to Foce Contapecore (1472m altitude) and from here follow the access path under 1.
