Von Bovec fährt man Richtung Tarvisio (N) nach ca. 3km nimmt man re. die Abbiegung Kransjka Gora/ Trenta --> Ort Soca --> Ort Pri Cerkvi --> nach einer Zerpentinenkurve folgt man noch kurz der Straße bis man auf der re. Seite einen ummauerten Friedhof sieht --> hier li. bei der Schotterausweiche parken.

From Bovec drive towards Tarvisio (N) after approx. 3km take the turn-off to the right Kransjka Gora/ Trenta --> village Soca --> village Pri Cerkvi --> after a hairpin bend follow the road for a short while until you see a walled cemetery on the right --> park here on the left at the gravel turn-off.

Vom Parkplatz ein paar Stufen zur Soca runter gehen --> Soca überqueren --> man steht jetzt direkt in der Mündung des Podolu Baches --> schmalen Weg direkt li. neben der Podolu folgen --> nach ca. 5min. kommt man zum der Schlußwasserfall (ca. 700Hm) (Wassermenge Kontrolle) --> hier geht es li. über einen steilen Weg (li.) ca. 40-45min bergauf (zum Teil mit Stahlseil gesicherter Weg) --> nach ca. 200Hm wird es flacher --> man folgt den Weg bis zu den schon sichtbaren Bach (Einstieg auf ca. 900Hm).

From the parking lot go down a few steps to the Soca --> cross the Soca --> you are now directly at the mouth of the Podolu stream --> follow the narrow path directly left of the Podolu --> after approx. 5min. you come to the final waterfall (approx. 700Hm) (check the water level) --> follow the steep path (left) uphill for approx. 40-45min (partly secured with a steel cable) --> after approx. 200Hm it becomes flatter --> follow the path to the already visible stream (entry at approx. 900Hm).

Die Poule hat einen sehr vertikalen Charakter, hohe und niedrige Abseilstellen wechseln sich (in der meist nur wenig wasserführenden Schlucht) kontinuierlich ab --> Anfänger haben hier nichts verloren, da manche Abseilstellen seiltechnisch und mental anspruchsvoll sind --> wer eine gute Seiltechnik beherrscht und vertraut ist mit ausgesetzten Standplätze wird sich in dieser Schlucht sicher wohl fühlen --> es gibt nur wenige Gumpen die sich zum Springen oder Rutschen eignen --> die schöne Aussicht ins Socatal und den umliegenden Bergen sind sich auch ein guten Grund diese Schlucht zu begehen --> man sollte für die letzte 2 Abseilstellen einiges an Zeit einplanen --> um hier ein Pendeln zu verhindern richtet man zuerst einen 25m Quergang zum ausgesetzten Stand (re) ein (das Seilgeländer kann in der Mitte umgelenkt werden) --> beim letzten Abseiler (45m überhängend) sollte man besonders auf die scharfe Kante achten (Seilschonend arbeiten).

The Poule has a very vertical character, high and low abseils alternate continuously (in the canyon, which usually has little water) --> beginners have no place here, as some of the abseils are technically and mentally demanding --> those who have a good rope technique and are familiar with exposed belays will certainly feel at home in this canyon --> there are only a few pools that are suitable for jumping or sliding --> the beautiful view of the Soca Valley and the surrounding mountains are also a good reason to visit this canyon - -> you should be prepared for the last 2 abseils.-> you should plan some time for the last 2 rappels --> to prevent swinging here, first set up a 25m traverse to the exposed belay (right) (the rope traverse can be deflected in the middle) --> on the last rappel (45m overhanging) you should pay particular attention to the sharp edge (work gently).

Man steigt direkt nach dem letzten Abseiler re. aus dem Bach aus (ca. 700Hm) --> den vorher hochgegangen Weg zurück zum Parkplatz folgen.

Exit the creek right after the last rappel (approx. 700m) --> follow the previously ascended path back to the parking lot.
