Debemos ir hasta Valverde de los Arroyos, pueblo de arquitectura negra que pertenece a la red de “Los pueblos más bonitos de España”. Solo por ello merece la pena hacer este barranco. Desde Guadalajara cogemos la CM-101 dirección Humanes, al llegar a Humanes la CM-1004 hacia Tamajón, lo pasamos y al kilómetro tenemos un desvío a la derecha “Valverde de los arroyos”. Una vez llegamos al pueblo aparcamos en el parking a las afueras y nos preparamos para un paseo de 1h

We must go to Valverde de los Arroyos, a village of black architecture that belongs to the network of "The most beautiful villages of Spain". Only for this reason it is worth doing this ravine. From Guadalajara we take the CM-101 towards Humanes, when we get to Humanes we take the CM-1004 towards Tamajón, we pass it and after one kilometer we have a detour to the right "Valverde de los Arroyos". Once we reach the village we park in the parking lot on the outskirts and get ready for a 1 hour walk.

Atravesamos el pueblo dirección a la cascada y a los 400m encontramos un desvío a la dcha (marcas de GR) y subida al Ocejón. Cogemos ese desvío, que va ganando altura, con el Ocejón y la cascada siempre como referencia. Seguiremos este sendero hasta llegar a un arroyo que hay que cruzar para subir al Ocejón. Aquí abandonamos el sendero por un camino poco marcado a la izda que baja hacia el arroyo o al bloque desde el que entrar. Dicho sendero va por un murete de piedras que a día de hoy está bastante escondido entre la maleza.

We cross the village towards the waterfall and after 400m we find a detour to the right (GR markings) and climb to the Ocejón. We take this detour, which is gaining height, with the Ocejón and the waterfall always as a reference. We will follow this trail until we reach a stream that must be crossed to climb to the Ocejón. Here we leave the trail for a little marked path to the left that descends to the stream or the block from which to enter. This trail goes along a stone wall that today is quite hidden in the undergrowth.

Corto pero intenso y bonito descenso que en 4 rápeles salva más de 100m de desnivel. Se puede entrar desde el arroyo, aproximando a la cascada por un pasamanos o desde el bloque empotrado haciendo un rapel de 12m. En ambos casos bajamos a un árbol en la izquierda del cauce desde el que rapelamos otros 20m para situarnos en un tercer rápel de 20m. Seguidamente destrepamos por la derecha (o rapelamos) para situarnos en la pocita superior desde la que se puede rapelar por fuera de la cascada (45m) saliendo a derecha, opción que no recomendamos. Lo normal sería aprovechar este monopunto para hacer un sencillo rápel de 10m hasta la cabecera de la cascada y desde aquí con desde un árbol con dos puntos hacer el rápel de 35m hasta la base. La segunda parte del descenso no aporta mucho son 3 rápeles al natural desde árboles, el segundo antes era desde un bloque que ya no existe.

You can enter from the stream, approaching the waterfall by a handrail or from the embedded block doing a 12m rappel. In both cases we descend to a tree on the left of the riverbed from which we rappel another 20m to a third rappel of 20m. Then we climb to the right (or rappel) to get to the upper small pool from which we can rappel outside the waterfall (45m) going to the right, an option that we do not recommend. The normal thing would be to take advantage of this single point to make a simple 10m rappel to the head of the waterfall and from here with a tree with two points to make the 35m rappel to the base. The second part of the descent does not provide much, there are 3 natural rappels from trees, the second before was from a block that no longer exists.

Hay dos salidas, la más evidente tras el rapel de 45m a coger el camino de la tubería que dirige al pueblo. O continuar un rato más por el cauce y hacer 3 rapeles más y salir por la pista forestal a la izda que nos deja en el camino que lleva al pueblo

There are two exits, the most obvious after the 45m rappel to take the path of the pipe that leads to the village. Or continue for a while more along the riverbed and make 3 more rappels and exit by the forest track to the left that leaves us on the road leading to the village.
