Desde Ponferrada por la LE-142 hacia Molinaseca y Compludo. Iremos por esta carretera hasta el pk 47, aquí encontramos un puente sobre un arroyo y poco antes sitio para aparcar.

From Ponferrada on the LE-142 towards Molinaseca and Compludo. We will go along this road until the pk 47, here we will find a bridge over a stream and shortly before a place to park.

Inmediato, hay un senderito que nos baja al cauce

Immediately, there is a small path that leads down to the riverbed.

Comienza con mucha zarza y vegetación espesa (llevar tijeras de podar), llegaremos al primer rápel desde árbol, tras el que volvemos a andar entre zarzas un rato. A partir de aquí el segundo rápel es un pequeño balcón con una bonita cascada, y el barranco gana en interés (y desaparecen en parte las zarzas)

It starts with a lot of brambles and thick vegetation (take pruning shears), we will reach the first rappel from a tree, after which we walk through brambles again for a while. From here the second rappel is a small balcony with a nice waterfall, and the canyon becomes more interesting (and the brambles partly disappear).

Llegaremos al rio Meruelo y lo seguiremos unos 300m (precaución con el cauce), antes de un estrechamiento rocoso sale una “senda” de hitos que nos eleva hasta la carretera. Una vez en ella solo tendremos que andar 600m hasta el coche

We will arrive at the Meruelo river and we will follow it for 300m (be careful with the riverbed), before a rocky narrowing a "path" of milestones comes out that takes us up to the road. Once on it we will only have to walk 600m to the car.
