De carácter seco, aunque tras lluvias lo encontraremos con agua. El cañón es de carácter abierto y en algunos tramos se encaja un poco, teniendo escapes. No suele llevar agua, salvo en primavera. Este barranco esta formado en roca caliza por lo que tiene una estética muy bonita , al igual que el entorno rodeado de grandes paredes y una inmensa flora y fauna que nos dejaran maravillados El barranco es corto y podemos combinarlo con el final del barranco de Poyatos. Si lo combinas con poyatos puedes ahorrarte la subida hasta la cabecera y hacer los 5 rapeles del croquis desde el cruce con el ascenso del Poyatos

Igual que el barranco de Poyatos: 1. Puente Río escabas. En la carretera que nos lleva de Fuertescusa a Poyatos (CUV-9031) a la altura del camping la serranía coger la carretera que sale a la derecha (Dirección Tragacete), a unos 3km aproximádamente nos encontramos el puente y un par de aparcamientos, donde dejaremos uno de los coches. 2. Aparcamiento Cabecera. Desde el pueblo de Poyatos por la CUV-9031 dirección Beteta a unos 2,5 antes de una curva sale un camino a la derecha. Ahí dejaremos el coche.

Con combinación de coches es inmediato, se ve el acceso desde la pista en la que aparcamos. Sin combinación de coches (Desde el puente) por la carretera donde hemos venido, hay que buscar una pequeña senda poco marcada a mano derecha y asciendo haciendo Z hasta la cima de la vertiente Quebrada.
