Der SS13 durchs Kanaltal bis Dogna folgen, hier ins Dognatal abzweigen. Der Strasse folgen bis man den Rio Mas überquert (alte Brückenreste und Tunnel). Etwa 500m nach der Brücke Parkmöglichkeit bei einem gelben Wanderwegschild.

Follow the SS13 through the Canal Valley until Dogna, here turn off into the Dogna Valley. Follow the road until you cross the Rio Mas (old bridge remains and tunnel). About 500m after the bridge you can park at a yellow hiking trail sign.

Den teilweise abgerutschten Steig 640 etwa 100hm bis zum Torrente Dogna folgen. Den Bach durchwaten (die Brücke wurde 2007 weggespült) und am anderen Ufer mit vielen Kehren bis knapp unter einer Hausruine aufsteigen. In der vorletzten Kehre vor der Ruine gehts links ein Steig weg den man verfolgt. Dies ist der aufgelassene Weg 651 den man bis zum Bachbett des Rio Rondolon folgt (zuletzt kurz Wurzel-Kletterei). Im Bachbett kurz aufsteigen bis man einen höheren Wasserfall sieht, hier das Bachbett nach links verlassen um einen oberhalb verlaufenden Steig zu erreichen (Markierungen). Den Steig in den Talgrund folgen wo er oberhalb der niedrigen Klammen des Rio Rondolons verläuft. Immer neben der Schlucht aufsteigen bis man weiter oben eine Felswand sieht, hier linkshaltend kurz querend aufsteigen bis man vor einem trockenen Bachbett steht. Entweder im trockenen Bachbett aufsteigen (leiche aber glitschige Kletterpassagen) oder rechtshaltend über den steilen Waldhang empor bis man flacheres Gelände erreicht. Weitgehend weglos leicht linkshaltend bis zu einen unscheinbaren Sattel aufsteigen und auf der anderen Seite sehr steil durch zwei Schotterrinnen (zuletzt uraltes Drahtseil) ins Bachbett des Rio Rondolon absteigen.

Follow the partially slippery path 640 for about 100m to Torrente Dogna. Wade through the stream (the bridge was washed away in 2007) and climb up the other bank with many hairpin bends to just below a ruined house. At the penultimate haipin bend before the ruins, take a path to the left which you follow. This is the abandoned path 651 which you follow to the streambed of the Rio Rondolon (last short root climb). Ascend briefly in the streambed until you see a higher waterfall, here leave the streambed to the left to reach a path running above (markings). Follow the path to the bottom of the valley where it runs above the low gorges of the Rio Rondolon. Always ascend alongside the canyon until you see a rock face further up, keep left here and ascend briefly across until you reach a dry streambed. Either ascend in the dry streambed (easy but slippery climbing passages) or keep right up the steep forest slope until you reach flatter terrain. Keeping mostly pathless, ascend slightly to the left to an inconspicuous saddle and on the other side descend very steeply through two gravel gullies (the last of which is an ancient wire rope) into the streambed of the Rio Rondolon.
