Desde San Vicente de la Barquera o desde Potes cogemos la N621 hacia el desfiladero de la Hermida. En el pk 169 tenemos la salida del barranco. Justo aquí tenemos un apartadero y en el 168,9 otro. (2024.07 Juan Angel B. ) La zona de estacionamiento en el desfiladero de la Hermida, se encuentra en obras y los lugares para aparcar se han reducido o están ocupados por maquinaria de obras. Pudimos aparcar en hueco a la derecha en dirección Potes a pocos metros de la salida, caben dos coches muy justos. Los demás lugares de aparcar han desaparecido.

From San Vicente de la Barquera or from Potes we take the N621 towards the Hermida gorge. At pk 169 we have the exit of the gorge. Just here we have a lay-by and at 168,9 another one. (2024.07 Juan Angel B. ) The parking area in the Hermida gorge is under construction and the parking spaces have been reduced or are occupied by construction machinery. We were able to park in a space on the right in the direction of Potes a few meters from the exit, two cars fit very tightly. The other parking spaces have disappeared.

Al lado del pk 168,9 tenemos la salida del PR AS175 o senda del Jargú. Subiremos por ella hasta la torreta eléctrica (creo que la 4ª o 5ª curva a la izquierda). Por el sendero de la torreta accedemos al arroyo

Descenso resbaladizo por tobas y que a partir de la surgencia va con agua. Si lo realizamos tras lluvias se forman unas cascadas muy vistosas por las que descender. Precaución que es bastante resbaladizo (2024.07-Juan Angel B.) Se ha producido un desprendimiento de árboles y terreno que dificultan pasar por el cauce en el último tramo de salida a 20metros de la carretera. Se puede evitar por la izquierda del cauce, apartándose unos 10 metros, sin grandes dificultades, excepto la vegetación.
