Von Domodossola (Nord) Richtung Locarno/Monte Crestese/Sempione. Beim Kreisverkehr Richtung Monte Crestese und weiter gerade aus Richtung Masera. Am Ende der Ortschaft Masera re über die Brücke. Nach der Brücke gleich li abbiegen (Via Isorno) Ab hier folgt man anfangs eine asphaltierte Straße, vorbei an mehreren Granitwerke. Kurz nach dem letzten Granitwerk beginnt eine grobe Schotterstraße, der man ca. 2Km bis zum Ende am Elektrizitätshaus folgt. Hier kann das Überstellungsfahrzeug auf einer großen Wiesenfläche abgestellt werden. Mit dem 2. PKW fährt man zurück bis zur Hauptstraße. Dann re über die Brücke und der Bergstraße folgend Richtung Giosio/Altoggio/Naviledo. Nach mehreren Serpentinenkurven kommt man in die Ortschaft Altoggio. Einige Parkplätze.

From Domodossola (north) in the direction of Locarno/Monte Crestese/Sempione. At the traffic circle, head towards Monte Crestese and continue straight on towards Masera. At the exit of Masera, turn right over the bridge. Turn left immediately after the bridge (Via Isorno). From here, follow a paved road past several granite factories. Shortly after the last granite works, a rough gravel road begins, which you follow for approx. 2 km to the exit at the electricity house. Here you can park your shuttle car on a large meadow. Take the 2nd car back to the main road. Then drive right over the bridge and follow the mountain road towards Giosio/Altoggio/Naviledo. After several hairpin bends you reach the village of Altoggio. Some parking spaces.

Vom Parkplatz aus geht man in den kleinen Ort Richtung Kirche. An der Kirche li vorbei folgt man der Wanderbeschilderung L00 Centrale Cippata. Zur besten Orientierung dienen aber die Strommasten denen man re bis zum Waldrand folgt. Bei einer kleinen Kapelle wird ein Wanderweg (L02 Ponte del Diavolo/ Centrale Cippata) ersichtlich der nun steil nach unten führt. Man verfolgt den Weg bis zu gut sichtbaren neongelben Markierungen auf der li Wegseite (noch vor der Brücke!). Ab hier folgt man den neongelben Markierungen die in regelmäßigen Abständen auftauchen und ohne Seilgebrauch, vorbei an einem alten Steinhaus, bis in die Schlucht auf 610m führen (am Schluss ca. 20m über Fixseile und Steigbügel absteigen). (Geht man den Weg bis zur Brücke, kann alternativ, auf der orographisch re Seite, unterhalb der Steinbrücke von einer Baumschlinge abgeseilt werden- ca. 40m?)

From the parking lot, walk into the small village towards the church. Pass the church on the left and follow the signs for L00 Centrale Cippata. However, the electricity pylons are the best guide, which you follow to the right until you reach the edge of the forest. At a small chapel, a hiking trail (L02 Ponte del Diavolo/ Centrale Cippata) becomes visible which now leads steeply downhill. Follow the path until you reach clearly visible neon yellow markings on the left side of the path (before the bridge!). From here, follow the neon yellow markings that appear at regular intervals and lead without the use of ropes, past an old stone house, into the canyon at 610m (at the end, descend approx. 20m via fixed ropes and stirrups). (If you take the path to the bridge, you can alternatively rappel from a tree sling on the orographic right side below the stone bridge - approx. 40m).

Die Isorno inferiore ist eine sehr empfehlenswerte Gneisschlucht mit mehreren hohen Sprungmöglichkeiten in tiefen Becken. Wer lieber abseilt der kann dies über gut angebrachte Bohr- und Klebehaken machen. Für den Seilabzug außerhalb der Becken sind 40m Seile ideal. Wenn man erst mal die rutschigen Geh- und Abkletterpassagen im oberen Teil der inferiore überwunden hat, wird es richtig schön. Ab dem 3. Abseiler wird die Schlucht kontinuierlich. Die vom Wasser großartig geformten Felswände im unteren Teil sind alleine schon den Abstieg wert. Die Schlucht macht am Schluss einen rechts-knick und endet vor einer Staumauer auf 500m. Hier befinden sich auf der li Seite der Staumauer (nicht re bei der Wasserableitung!!!) große Eisenstifte zum hochklettern. Danach seilt man sich am besten von einem großen Eisenring li über die Mauer 10m ab.

The Isorno inferiore is a highly recommended gneiss gorge with several high possible jumps in deep pools. Those who prefer to rappel can do so using well-placed bolts and glued anchors. For rope retrival outside the pools, 40m ropes are ideal. Once you have overcome the slippery walkways and downclimbs in the upper part of the inferior section, it gets really nice. From the 3rd rappel, the canyon becomes continuous. The rock faces in the lower part, beautifully shaped by the water, are worth the descent alone. At the end, the canyon bends to the right and exits in front of a dam at 500m. There are large iron pins to climb up on the left side of the dam (not on the right at the water drainage!!!). Then it is best to rappel from a large iron ring on the left over the wall for 10m.

Nach dem Abseilvorgang stiegt man gleich li auf die Felsen hoch und quert den Bach (Isorno). Dann noch kurz über eine kleine Stufe auf der li Uferseite. In Kürze steh man am Parkplatz/ Überstellungsfahrzeug.

After the abseil, climb up the rocks on the left and cross the stream (Isorno). Then briefly over a small step on the left bank. You will soon be at the parking lot/ shuttle car.
