Iremos desde Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. Situación barrancos Lekime y Haraska Por la D933 dirección Pau, en Saint Jean de Vieux nos desviamos a la derecha dirección Irati por la D18. Seguiremos por la D18 y dejamos el desvío de Mendive a un lado. Pasaremos por Bastida, Basaburua, etc… Y giramos a la izquierda hacia Larralde Borda. Llegaremos por la carretera/pista hasta donde podamos con nuestro coche de retorno. Volvemos a la D18 y seguimos subiendo el puerto, pasaremos la Chapelle d'Iraty y al poco una curva muy cerrada de derechas con una pista que sale a la izquierda, la seguiremos hasta que se acabe. Otra opción es aparcar en el mismo sitio que para Lekime, para ello pasaremos el collado de Burdinkurutzeta y al poco veremos una pista a la izquierda que sube a unos repetidores al pie del Mendibel. Aparcamos al final de esa pista.

We will go from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. Location of the Lekime and Haraska ravines On the D933 towards Pau, in Saint Jean de Vieux we turn right towards Irati on the D18. We will continue on the D18 and leave the Mendive turnoff to one side. We will pass by Bastida, Basaburua, etc... And we turn left towards Larralde Borda. We will take the road/track as far as we can with our return car. We return to the D18 and continue up the port, we will pass the Chapelle d'Iraty and soon a very sharp right turn with a track that comes out to the left, we will follow it until it ends. Another option is to park in the same place as for Lekime, for this we will pass the pass of Burdinkurutzeta and soon we will see a track on the left that goes up to some repeaters at the foot of Mendibel. We park at the end of this track.

Acceso barrancos Lekime y Haraska Desde el aparcamiento de Mendibel: Por la ladera sur del Mendibel subimos hasta el collado y nos dirigimos al NO en busca de la divisoria de aguas de Lekime y Haraska, una vez aquí solo habrá que bajar a la izquierda hacia el fondo del valle. Desde nuestro aparcamiento: Por el bosque de hayas hacia el este a coger una ladera que nos elevará hasta la divisoria, desde aquí bajaremos al cauce

Una primera parte muy estética, con bastante roca lavada, bañeras y rápeles que conforman un descenso muy deportivo. Una segunda parte con menos desnivel pero con multitud de destrepes

Seguiremos el barranco hasta llegar al río principal, hay un puentecillo para cruzarlo y al otro lado un senderín que tomaremos a la izquierda. Tendremos que ir atentos porque a ratos se pierde. Posteriormente se convierte en pista y nos deja en la zona de aparcamiento

We will follow the ravine until we reach the main river, there is a small bridge to cross it and on the other side a small path that we will take to the left. We will have to be attentive because at times it gets lost. Later it becomes a track and leaves us in the parking area.
