Situándonos en Roncesvalles Iremos dirección Valcarlos y Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port Si tenemos dos vehículos en la N135 , a la altura del puerto de Ibañeta sale una pista/carretera hacia el Este (derecha) que nos deja en el alto de Lepoeder, aquí dejaríamos el vehículo de acceso. Con el vehículo de retorno o si solo tenemos un vehículo debería ir hasta el barrio de Gainekoleta, perteneciente a Valcarlos, en donde aparcaremos. Otra opción para el vehículo de acceso es seguir hasta Valcarlos para coger la D128 y luego la D428 hasta la Croix de Thibault.

Getting to Roncesvalles We will go towards Valcarlos and Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. If we have two vehicles on the N135, at the height of the Ibañeta pass there is a track/road to the East (right) that leaves us at the top of Lepoeder, here we would leave the access vehicle. With the return vehicle or if we only have one vehicle should go to the neighborhood of Gainekoleta, belonging to Valcarlos, where we will park. Another option for the access vehicle is to continue to Valcarlos to take the D128 and then the D428 to Croix de Thibault.

Desde el collado de Lepoeder hacia el refugio de Izandorre, lo pasamos y 200m después cogemos una pista a la izquierda, al poco la dejamos para coger otra pista hacia atrás a la izquierda que sigue bajando y se convierte en sendeo que baja paralelo al arroyo hacia las minas, al llegar al fondo del valle irá a parar a las minas de Arbanta y allí al lado está el puente sobre el río en donde podemos acceder. Desde el lado francés deberemos dirigirnos por el camino francés hacia el sur y podremos seguirlo hasta coger la bajada descrita anteriormente o, desde el collado de Bentarte, coger la senda a la derecha que va por el cordal a coger el sendero que baja a las minas. La tercera opción es salir desde Gainekoleta por la pista que sube por la ladera hacia las últimas bordas para cambiar de ladera y bajar ya como sendero hacia las minas, al poco el puente sobre el arroyo en el cual acceder.

The third option is to leave from Gainekoleta by the track that goes up the slope towards the last bordas to change slope and go down as a path to the mines, shortly after the bridge over the stream to access.

Al llegar abajo a la confluencia de los ríos encontraremos la senda que nos lleva a Gainekoleta a la derecha
