Uno de los grandes barrancos de la zona norte, si lo hacemos integral nos vamos a casi 7 horas de actividad con rápeles de todos los tipos. El tramo superior, al ser usado por las empresas de barrancos de la zona, está muy bien equipado, es la zona más sencilla con solo 4 rápeles y multitud de toboganes. La zona inferior es una sucesión de rápeles de hasta 40m, en este caso imprescindible combinación de coches. A la hora de realizarlo deberemos tener en cuenta que en verano su caudal baja mucho y en época de lluvias puede ir pasado

One of the great canyons of the northern zone, if we do it in its entirety we will spend almost 7 hours of activity with all kinds of rappels. The upper section, being used by canyoning companies in the area, is very well equipped, it is the easiest area with only 4 rappels and a multitude of slides. Por la N625 Riaño a Cangas de Onís. A la altura de Santillán pk 145 cogemos el desvío a Beleño y Sellaño. Iremos por la AS261 pasando por Santovena, Sellaño, … hasta pasar el pk 11. Llegaremos a un puentecillo sobre nuestro arroyo. Si vamos a hacer el integral, aparcaremos pasado el puente a la derecha. Seguiremos por la carretera 500m hasta un desvío a la izquierda a Caragas/Carangres. Subimos por esta carretera unos 3kms hasta una curva de derechas en la que se ve nuestro descenso a la izquierda, poco antes hay un apartadero a la derecha en la que podemos aparcar si vamos a hacer solo la parte superior. Seguiremos por la carretera hasta la entrada del pueblo y aparcamos

On the N625 Riaño to Cangas de Onís. At the height of Santillán pk 145 we take the detour to Beleño and Sellaño. We will go along the AS261 passing through Santovena, Sellaño, ... until we pass the pk 11. We will arrive at a small bridge over our stream. If we are going to do the integral, we will park after the bridge on the right. Follow the road for 500m until a detour to the left to Caragas/Carangres. We go up this road for about 3kms until a right turn where we see our descent on the left, shortly before there is a lay-by on the right where we can park if we are going to do only the upper part. We continue along the road to the entrance of the village and park.

Desde el apartadero subimos unos 500m hasta un sendero a la izquierda que nos baja al arroyo, Desde el pueblo descendemos 500m hasta el acceso al mismo sendero, en este caso a la derecha.

From the lay-by we climb about 500m to a path on the left that leads down to the stream, From the village we descend 500m to the access to the same path, in this case to the right.

Una primera parte, la superior, para todos los públicos, con rápeles sencillos, cortos y divertidos. Muchos toboganes y algunos posibles saltos (comprobar la profundidad de las pozas). La segunda parte es más deportiva, rápeles en naturales, largos y resbaladizos, en un entorno muy herboso, exuberante, en el que nos pensaremos perdidos en medio de la jungla. Un placer en todos los sentidos si lo cogemos con el caudal adecuado. La sucesión de 4 rápeles en las que salvaremos 70m de desnivel y su larga cascada de 40m son sus grandes puntos fuertes

A first part, the upper part, for all ages, with simple, short and fun rappels. Many slides and some possible jumps (check the depth of the pools). The second part is more sporty, rappels in natural, long and slippery, in a very grassy, lush environment, in which we will think we are lost in the middle of the jungle. A pleasure in all senses if we take it with the right flow. The succession of 4 rappels in which we will save 70m of unevenness and its long waterfall of 40m are its great strong points.

La primera parte por un sendero muy marcado a nuestra izquierda que nos lleva a la curva reseñada para aparcar el coche. Si no pudimos dejarlo aquí tocará remontar 1km de carretera. La segunda parte, seguiremos el arroyo hasta el puente sobre la carretera

The first part is along a well marked path to our left that leads to the curve indicated to park the car. If we could not leave it here, we will have to go up 1km of road. The second part, we will follow the stream to the bridge over the road.
