Situado en el Puerto de la Sía, es un barranco muy frecuentado por las empresas del lugar dado su fácil acceso y retorno, el desarrollo relativamente sencillo, sus buenas formaciones, etc. Eso sí en época de lluvias intensas puede ponerse muy técnico en la zona encajonada si lo pillamos con caudales elevados.
Se podría realizar combinación de coches para ahorrarnos kilómetro y medio por la carretera.
Mucho mejor fuera del verano para asegurarnos un buen caudal.

Desde la explanada salimos en dirección norte entre los muros de piedra siguiendo un senderito que al poco gira a la derecha para ir a adentrarse en el hayedo, en donde se irá perdiendo su traza. Sin perder altura cruzamos un primer arroyo, salimos del hayedo y llegamos a un cauce mayor, nuestro descenso.
